If evolution is real, why aren’t we born with a perfect line-up and fade?

Evolution happens over generations for hundreds of years and the perfect line up and fade has just recently become a thing over the past 2 or 3 decades. Plus evolution has to do with genes and alot with natural selection. Unless there is a gene that provides a perfect fade/line up, it’s unlikely to become a thing. People would also have to be attracted enough to the trait for those with a natural perfect fade and line up to get most of the mates, thus passing on the genes to their offspring.
